As a business owner, I/we support the Florida Competes business coalition in efforts to pass statewide non-discrimination protections on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. I/we believe that LGBT-inclusive non-discrimination laws will make Florida more competitive in the national and global marketplace.

Non-discrimination laws foster new investments and enable businesses to attract and retain top talent—that’s why 82% of the nation’s largest companies have adopted comprehensive non-discrimination policies that include sexual orientation and gender identity.
 
While it is illegal to discriminate in employment, housing and public accommodations based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, handicap or marital status, Florida law does not protect individuals from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. 
 
As a business owner, I/we join Florida Competes in public support of modernizing Florida law to ensure all Floridians are treated fairly and equally, and to make our state and even better place to live, work, and do business.
